FALL RIVER... Richard E. Rutter, 70, passed away, Tuesday, May 31, 2022, at St. Annes Hospital, Fall River, MA. He was the husband of Carol (Jennings) Rutter of Fall River. Mr. Rutter was born in Fort Knox, KY, a son of the late Ernest and Lorretta (Levesque) Rutter and had lived most of his life in Fall River.

Richard installed fences for various companies, and he served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He liked working on bicycles, had a contagious laugh, if it needed fixing, he could fix it, loved animals, loved Carol's lasagna.

Survivors include his wife; a stepson Jared O'Brien of Fall River; 2 sisters: Linda, Lynn both of Fall River; 4 step grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Service is Friday June 3, 2022, at 8:00 P.M. after calling hours from 6:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. at the SOUTH COAST FUNERAL HOME 1555 Pleasant St., Fall River, MA.
