Robert R. "Bob" Gagnon, 85, of Fall River, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on March 30, 2025. He courageously fought a battle with Alzheimer's/Dementia and other health issues for many years. Bob was married to the love of his life, Pauline (Arruda) Gagnon for over 61 years whom he called "His Woman" and she called him "Her Man". Bob loved his family immensely and he is unconditionally loved by them. His memory will be treasured by his family forever. Bob was a member of the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves for several years. He owned his own trucking company and later ran the crushing plant at Freetown Sand and Gravel for many years until his retirement. In his younger years, he enjoyed coaching youth hockey where everyone called him Mr. G. In addition to his overwhelming love for his family, his next greatest love would be horses. He owned and showed horses in his younger days and he and his wife enjoyed traveling all around New England to see them at various events. In addition to his wife, Bob is survived by his children, Richard R. Gagnon, wife, Elizabeth, Lori A. Presley, husband, Anthony and Russell R. Gagnon. He was preceded in death by his son, Robert R. Gagnon. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Grace Gagnon, Kailey Presley and Jocelyn Gagnon and his great-grandchildren Monroe Pleasant and Harper Flint. Additionally, he is survived by his cousin who he considered a brother, Vincent Smeriglio, wife, Ann. He is also survived by his sister-in laws Barbara Santos, husband, John, and Jeanne Rainey, husband, Howie (deceased) and many nieces, nephews, and friends. Bob was preceded in death by his loving Uncle and Aunt, William & Amelia (Gagnon) Smeriglio who raised him, and his parents, Paul L Gagnon and Regina (Nicholay) Gagnon. His siblings include Paul Gagnon (deceased) and Richard D. Gagnon (deceased), wife, Mary Ann. Bob was the type of person to give praise and thanks when it was due. In keeping with that trait, his family would like to extend a special thank you to South Coast Hospice, who provided him with excellent care during his final days.
