Never married, Roger turned his heart and hands towards his work as a carpenter in Swansea, Massachusetts, where he resided. His life was an embodiment of the quote by Thomas Jefferson that says, "I am a great believer in luck, and I find the harder I work, the more I have of it."

An extraordinary craftsman, Roger was known for his meticulous attention to detail and the passion he infused into every piece he created. His work was not just a means of livelihood, but a testament to his love for artistry and his dedication to perfection.
