Obituary

Roland Manuel Dube, born on September 25, 1961, in Fall River, Massachusetts, was a thoughtful, supportive, and adventurous spirit who lived his life with an abundant love for his family, friends, and community. Roland was a man who knew the value of connection and the importance of a good laugh. His love for his family was evident in the way he treasured his time with them, from his wife Andrea Bouchard to his children, and especially his beloved grandchildren. As Henry David Thoreau once said, "There is no remedy for love but to love more," and Roland embodied this philosophy fully.

Roland was a dedicated worker with the Fall River Housing Authority, a role he did with dedication and passion. His adventurous spirit extended into his personal life, where he found joy in the simple pleasures of life, such as fishing, long drives, and the thrill of the chase in Pokémon Go. A lover of old cars and PawSox games, he never missed an opportunity to turn everyday moments into cherished memories. His best friends, Peter and Ann, were a constant source of laughter and camaraderie, their daily phone conversations a testament to Roland's supportive nature. As Ralph Waldo Emerson once wrote, "The purpose of life is not to be happy. It is to be useful, to be honorable, to be compassionate, to have it make some difference that you have lived and lived well." Roland lived this truth every day.

Roland is survived by his loving wife, Andrea Bouchard; his children, Alexis, Robert, Brooke, and Pamala; step-children, Bryan, Brittany, and Sophia; and his sisters, Pauline, Marie, and Denise. He was also a cherished grandfather to step-grandchildren Adrieal, Caliana, Jayden, Jordyn, and Aaliyah. He was preceded in death by his mother, Rita Dube, and his brother, Richard. His radiant spirit will continue to live on in those he loved and those who loved him.
