Rosa Cortes, a beacon of strength, love, and faith, embarked on her heavenly journey on September 15, 2025.

Born on September 6, 1935, in the serene town of Barceloneta, Puerto Rico, Rosa carried the warmth of her birthplace in her heart, infusing the lives of everyone she met with her radiant charm and generous spirit.

Rosa lived a fulfilling life, fueled by her unwavering faith, her love for her family, and her dedication to her work. As Maya Angelou beautifully said, "I've learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel," and this truly encapsulates Rosa's legacy.

Rosa led an industrious life as a factory worker in Boston, Massachusetts, where she resided. Her hardworking nature was not confined to her profession; it also formed the backbone of her remarkable journey as a mother and grandmother.

Rosa's family was her pride and joy. She was blessed with two daughters, Maria and Brendaliz, six grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren. Rosa also had the honor of raising two of her grandchildren, Xiomara and Jasmany. Jasmany held a special place in her heart, living with her throughout his life, right until her heavenly ascension. Rosa's life was a tapestry of love, beautifully woven with threads of care, compassion, and warmth.

A devout Christian, Rosa found solace in worship and reading the Bible. Her faith was the cornerstone of her existence, guiding her through life's ebbs and flows. Rosa was not just a woman of faith, but also a woman of diverse interests. She found joy in simple pleasures such as sewing, arts and crafts, puzzles, and reading. Rosa was a living testament to the quote by Helen Keller, "The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched - they must be felt with the heart." Her kindness and loving nature touched the heart of everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Rosa is survived by her granddaughter, Cristal Tejeda. She is preceded in death by her father, Desidario Cortes, and mother, Carmen Correa. Rosa's life was an embodiment of love, faith, and resilience, leaving an indelible mark on everyone she encountered.
