Rose Mary Valois, born on December 3, 1952, as Rose Mary Vianna in Fall River, Massachusetts, passed away at home on May 9, 2025, following a prolonged illness due to cancer.

Her demeanor was as vibrant and colorful as the blossoms she was named after, and was known for her forthright nature, always expressing her thoughts with confidence and assertiveness.

Rose Mary was the daughter of the late Manuel and Silvana Vianna of Fall River, MA.

She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Rene, and three children: Jason Valois of Fall River, MA; Sharon Dennis of Lakeville, MA; and Stephen Valois of Fall River, MA. She leaves behind six grandsons and two granddaughters. Rose Mary is also survived by her loving sister, Carol Rego of Swansea, MA.

Rose Mary worked for Aetna Life & Casualty and Travelers Insurance for over 30 years. She later worked for People Incorporated, where she cared for people with disabilities.

Rose Mary found joy in the simple pleasures of life, such as visiting casinos and spending time with her friends, especially with her dog, Sylvie. She very much cherished the moments spent traveling to Aruba with her beloved husband, where together they created many beautiful memories.

Public visitations will be held at the Southcoast Funeral Home, located at 1555 Pleasant Street, Fall River, Massachusetts, 02723, on Monday, May 12, 2025, from 04:00 PM - 07:00 PM and Tuesday, May 13, 2025, from 09:00 AM -11:00 AM.

Funeral Services will follow at the same location on Tuesday, May 13, 2025, at 11:00 AM, presided over by Chaplain and Life Celebrant Ines Bates. The Committal with Chapel Prayers will take place at Notre Dame Cemetery and Mausoleums, located at 1540 Stafford Road, Fall River, Massachusetts, 02721, on Tuesday, May 13, 2025, at 12:00 PM.
