Obituary

It is with profound sadness that we honor the life of Sandra Carol Allard, who passed on May 14, 2025, aged 72 years. Born on January 27, 1953, in New Bedford, MA, Sandra was a beacon of resilience, whose loving and supportive nature touched the lives of many. A woman of strong convictions and a kind heart, she had the unique ability to make everyone around her feel special. She was the epitome of the quote by Maya Angelou, "I've learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel."

Sandra was a cherished employee of Quaker Fabrics in the Sample department, where she showcased her thoughtful consideration in every task she undertook she also worked for Macys in the Men's Clothing department section. She was a devoted wife to her husband, Dennis Allard, for 40 beautiful years, their bond was one that many admired. Their love story was one written in the stars, among the bright lights of Las Vegas, a place they visited eight glorious times. She cherished the simple joys in life, like her husband's cooking, and her daily Dunkin' Donuts iced caramel swirl coffee, with no sugar.

But Sandra's most profound joy came from her family. As an amazing mother, she showered her only daughter, Mandy Roderick-Soares, with endless love and support. To her only grandson, Tyson Roderick, Sandra was more than a grandmother; she was a second mother. Her love was boundless, a testament to her resilient spirit and the depth of her kindness. Even in her absence, she remains a beacon of love and resilience, forever illuminating the path for those she has left behind.

Sandra is survived by her loving husband, Dennis Allard, her cherished daughter, Mandy and grandson Tyson. She is preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Dorothy Roderick. A public visitation will be held in honor of Sandra on Saturday, 17 May 2025, from 12:00 PM - 03:00 PM, at the Southcoast Funeral Home, 1555 Pleasant Street, Fall River, Massachusetts.
