With profound sadness, we share the passing of a truly radiant soul, Sheila Marie Howard, who left us on January 21, 2026. Born in Fall River, MA, on December 15, 1965, to Gerald and Rita Carmody, Sheila was a beacon of love, humor, and generosity. Her compassionate spirit and loving heart touched the lives of all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Sheila's zest for life was contagious. She found joy in simple pleasures, like playing bingo and cards, and cherished spending time at the cabin in Vermont. Always the life of the party, her funny and generous nature made every gathering a memorable one. Despite her medical disability, Sheila never let it dampen her spirit. Instead, she used her experiences to cultivate a deep sense of empathy, which she shared abundantly with those around her. What mattered most to Sheila was her family. Their happiness was her greatest reward, and her love for them knew no bounds.

Sheila is survived by her loving partner, Derek Rego, her sons, Norman Tremblay (Kelly) and Tyler Tremblay, her granddaughters, Jasmin and Abigale, her caring siblings, Jodi Kennedy (Kevin) and Thomas Carmody (Rhonda), her nephews, Jonathan, Cole, and Caleb, and a host of friends who were more like family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Gerald and Rita Carmody.

Friends and Family are cordially invited to attend a public visitation which will be held on Wednesday, 28 Jan 2026 from 4:00 to 06:30 PM at the Southcoast Funeral Home, inside of the Ferreira Chapel, 1555 Pleasant Street, Fall River, Massachusetts, 02723. A Funeral Home Prayer Service will be held at 06:30 PM at the same venue.
