FALL RIVER... Sondra M. (Lopes) Yarbough, 71, of Fall River passed away April 26, 2016 at Kimwell Nursing Home. Born in Newport, RI, she was a daughter of the late Alfred L. Hayden, Jr. and Angie (Alves) Hayden. She was the partner for over 20 years of the late Lynda Straatveit. Mrs. Yarbough worked as a machine operator at Louis Hand Curtain Factory and prior to that she worked for the Fall River Health Commissioner. She volunteered with the American Red Cross for over 20 years and enjoyed reading, playing Sudoku, her pets, and spending time with her family. Survivors include her daughters, Angela Downing and Marla Valois, both of Fall River, her son, Curtis Lopes of Templeton, MA, 6 grandchildren: Curtis, Jr., Joel, Julia, Rochelle, Vincent, III, & Nicole, and 4 great grandchildren. Services to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Monday, May 2nd at 9 AM at the South Coast Funeral Home, 1555 Pleasant St. Fall River with a service in the funeral home starting at 10 AM. Interment will be in Cedar Knolls Cemetery, Taunton. Calling hours will be held Sunday from 5 - 8 PM.
