With a heavy heart, we announce the passing of Sonia Agosto Perez on April 1, 2026.

Sonia, born in the sunny city of Ponce, Puerto Rico, on June 21, 1962, was a woman of extraordinary resilience, warmth, and charm. She made her home in New Bedford, Massachusetts, where she cultivated a life full of love, laughter.

Sonia's legacy of courage, determination, and joy lives on in her husband, Cencio Cataquet, who was her constant companion, her children, and many more family members. She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Julio Agosto and Luz Perez.
