Born to Ruth and Serafim Americano on August 17, 1949, in Governador Valadares, Brazil, Sonia imbued her life with a warmth and compassion that radiated out to all who were fortunate enough to cross her path. As Maya Angelou once said, "People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel." Sonia embodied this sentiment, leaving a lasting imprint on the hearts of many through her kind deeds and gentle spirit.

A natural caregiver, Sonia dedicated her professional life as a Nursing Assistant, specializing in Elder Care Services. She brought the same dedication, love, and respect to her work that she did to her personal life, leaving a legacy of care and compassion that will continue to inspire all who knew her. Sonia's empathy and kindness were not confined to her work; they were a part of her essence, coloring every interaction with warmth and genuine concern. As a resident of Fall River, Massachusetts, she was a pillar of the community, always ready with a helping hand or a comforting word. Her presence will be deeply missed but her spirit will live on in the lives she touched and the love she shared.

Sonia now reunites in peaceful rest with her beloved parents, Ruth and Serafim Americano. She leaves behind her loving husband, Luis Rivera. Sonia's life was a testament to the power of love, kindness, and resilience. Her memory will be treasured by all who knew her, and her legacy of love will continue to inspire.
