Susan Cecilia (Viveiros) Telles, affectionately known as “Bigfoot”, passed away on September 21st at the age of 61 after bravely fighting cancer for two years.

She was born on July 1st and was adopted by the late Dorothy and John Viveiros when she was just one year old. She attended Tiverton Public Schools and later obtained her GED as a top member of her class.

Sue was always the life of the party, known for her infectious smile and laugh. She formed a large circle of found family and close friends. Her warm heart and open mind invited everyone she met to find love and compassion in knowing her. Sue loved spending time at the beach, whether it be sunbathing and swimming by day, or fishing with her fiance at night. She loved hosting company, and found great joy preparing homecooked meals like her mother before her or entertaining guests with music around her backyard fire pit.

She leaves behind a loving daughter, Arianne Telles, and soon-to-be son-in-law Melvin Harvey, of Tiverton. She also leaves her devoted fiancé, Stephen Medeiros, of Tiverton. Sue was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Telles, ; and her parents, Dorothy Viveiros and John Viveiros.

Family and friends are invited to gather at Tiverton V.F.W. to celebrate Susan's life and vivacious spirit. Date to be announced
