Obituary

Theodore Paul Smith passed away on August 9, 2025. Born in New Jersey on November 26, 1940, he had a rich and fulfilling life, filled with hard work, love, and Laughter.

Theodore was a pillar of strength and resilience, a man whose spirit echoed the words of Albert Einstein, "In the middle of difficulty lies opportunity." Theodore spent many years as a forklift operator and supervisor for General Motors, showcasing his dedication and work ethic. His unyielding commitment to his work was a testament to his character.

He was the devoted husband of late Ruth Smith, he is survived by his sister Teresa Johnson, his children, Michael Smith, Lisa Smith, Steven Smith, and Karen Smith, his grandchildren Christopher Smith, Alyssa Costa, Katelyn Costa, and Jacob Reis, and great grandchild James Smith.

When Theodore was not working he loved coaching his sons with hockey at the P.A.L. and baseball at Bayside Little League as they grew up. Later on in life he was able to watch his grandchild play at the same fields that he coached on in his earlier years.
