FALL RIVER... William R. "Billy" Teixeira, 73, of Fall River, died, November 25, 2017 at St. Anne's Hospital. He was the husband of Janice (Hubert) Teixeira of Fall River and the late Belmira (Valentino) Teixeira. He was born in Lisbon, Portugal a son of the late Guilherma and Laurinda (Tavares) Teixeira and had lived in Fall River most of his life. He was the owner of the former Teixeira Barber Shop in Fall River. Prior to the barber shop he was a foreman at the former Harvey Probber. Mr. Teixeira enjoyed fishing and working with his hands.

Survivors include a son William R. Teixeira the III and his girlfriend Marie Estacio of Fall River, a daughter Amy (Hubert) Padilla and her husband Miguel of Fall River, 4 grandchildren Thomas and Lori Teixeira, Xavier and Isaiah Padilla, a great granddaughter Korralee Morrell. He was the father of the late Brenda Teixeira.

Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Thursday at 9AM from the SOUTH COAST FUNERAL HOME, 1555 Pleasant St., Fall River, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10AM at St. Bernadette's Parish, 529 Eastern Ave., Fall River. Interment will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Fall River. Calling hours will be Wednesday 4 - 8 PM.
