Yvonne (Varin) Fournier, age 98, entered into rest on March 14, 2025.

A life long resident of Fall River, she was married 49 years to the late Norman R. Fournier, daughter of the late Joseph Varin and Medora (Carpentier) Varin, sister of the late Roger Varin, Annette St. Pierre, and Anna Manchester, mother of the late Marcel R. Fournier and Nelson E. Fournier.

She was a communicant of the former Notre Dame Church and most recently, Holy Name Church. She worked as a seamstress in various mills and played guitar in a country western band. She enjoyed playing cards and bingo, making puzzles, spending time with family and friends especially lunches and trips to Foxwoods with her granddaughter Lissa Cabeceiras and great granddaughter Melissa Sampson, visits with her nephew Ronnie St. Pierre and his partner Janice and her friend Lori Hamel.

She is survived by daughters Jacqueline DeCosta (Husband Kenneth) and Paulette Fournier, grandchildren Lissa Cabeceiras, David Cabeceiras, Jodi DeCosta, Kimberly Fournier, Marcel Fournier Jr., Jennifer Ferreira, Jared Fournier, and Diane Fournier, 20 great grandchildren and 9 great-great grandchildren, sister in law Nancy Fournier, daughter in law Lisa Fournier and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial visitation will be held for Yvonne at South Coast Funeral Home, 1555 Pleasant Street, Fall River, Massachusetts, 02723, on Thursday, March 27, 2025, at 09:00 AM - 10:00 AM. This will be followed by a Committal Service at 11:15 AM inside of the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Connery Avenue, Bourne, Massachusetts, 02542.
